Meetings at The Cricketers, 41 Windham Road, Springbourne, Bournemouth BH1 4RN

Positive Money generally meets on the third Monday of each month at the Cricketers in Springbourne but this sometimes changes. To hear about our meetings and events you can sign up to Positive Money centrally with your postcode or follow our Bournemouth Facebook page or Meetup.com group.

Transition is a recent and burgeoning international movement. Thinking globally and acting locally is in their DNA. Their core concerns are sustainability and resilience in the face of economic shock.

We share their concerns for the environment and economic resilience. We can draw inspiration from Transition to form a view of what a successful, re-purposed economy might look like.

Pete Allen of Transition Bournemouth will talk on the origins and evolution of the Transition movement and the various activities of Transition Bournemouth. Angela Fendley will be talking about the Count On Me project and how you can reduce your personal carbon emissions.

Transition Bournemouth combine sound organisation and vigour with a relaxed and friendly approach from which we can learn a lot. Our meetings are open and Transition members are particularly welcome to share their experiences, achievements and on-going project knowledge.
