This is the final activity in our ‘create a living fence round the veg patch’ plan. Having planted apple trees round the patch we’re now going to put up a fence so we can train those trees into a fence-shape! So when the latest fence finally crumbles, (in about 15 – 25 years time), the apple trees should provide a robust but also pretty and productive structure around the veg plot.

It would be great if you could come and give us a hand – the more the merrier!
