As part of Fairtrade fortnight we are holding a Fairtrade quiz night on Monday 6th March starting 8.15pm at Arcado. Please come and enjoy a fun-filled evening whilst learning more about Fairtrade. Tickets cost £3 per person and teams can be any size up to 8 people. There will be complimentary Fairtrade nibbles for all competitors plus Fairtrade prizes. Proceeds to be shared between the Christchurch Food Bank and the Fairtrade Foundation.
Over 75% of us want the products and services we buy to show ethical and green credentials. Supporting Fairtrade Fortnight is the perfect way to show your ethical side whilst helping poor farmers and workers in developing countries. The theme for Fairtrade Fortnight starting on the 27th February is ‘Put Fairtrade in your break, take exploitation out’, so buying Fairtrade products for your elevenses and afternoon tea ensures the producers get fair payment for their products. Look for the Fairtrade Mark on your bananas, chocolate bars, tea, coffee, sugar, nuts to make a difference!
