Did you know the street drains outside your home are only designed to take rainfall, and head untreated, straight to Poole Park lakes and lagoon? The Poole Park Life ‘Only Rain down the Drain’ campaign, working with the Litter Free Coast and Sea team, will inform local residents and businesses on what they can do to help prevent pollution.
The Lagoon Volunteer Day will inform and involve local residents, schools and businesses with improvements to Poole Park lagoon:
- Bring your wellie boots and step out into the thick mud to collect litter from the drained lagoon
- Volunteers to install willow fencing on lagoon islands
- Help build a large raft out of used plastic bottles with Rockley Watersports
- For a donation make use of our eco-waterless car wash
