Our Food, Our Future
On the 27th February, Shaftesbury Homegrown (the community farm) is to host a visit by Cordelia Rowlatt of Vallis Veg, a small farm on the outskirts of Frome. There are two opportunities to join her for a walk round the community farm and learn about the growing methods at Vallis Veg. You’ll also hear Cordelia’s ideas for ‘Eco Farm Future’ – an experiment that seeks to establish a sustainable community of small, independent eco-farms. What could make it successful? Is it something we might want, or could find land for, in the Shaftesbury area? Numbers are limited so booking is essential for either the 11 am or 2 pm session. See website for details here
