Event Venue

Shelters at the Seafront, Lyme Regis

Local artist, Eva Fahle-Clouts presents this thought-provoking exhibition.

Using plastic rubbish collected from Monmouth Beach, lobster pots, photographs and quotes, she will challenge us to take action to prevent further plastic pollution of our seas.  She will invite passers-by to leave behind used plastic in lobster pots outside the Pavilion.

Plastic Free Lyme Regis will also have displays giving facts and figures and practical things we can all do in our everyday lives to help tackle this problem.

Saturday 9 June – Friday 15 June

Daily 11am – 5pm  (Friday 15th closes at 2pm)

LAUNCH EVENT for art exhibition

Shelters at the Seafront.      2-4pm

Guest speaker – Anne Baker, co-leader of eXXpedition Round Britain 2017 She says, “Having sailed as part of eXXpedition crew across the Atlantic & Round Britain undertaking scientific research into ocean plastic pollution, sadly all samples – air, water, trawls, plankton, mussels and sediment – showed evidence of plastic. This has implications for the health of all ocean and human health. Having seen what I have seen, it is not possible to un-know this.”

All are invited!   We are extremely pleased and fortunate to have such an inspirational speaker at this launch event.
