Please join us for another friendly Resurgence Readers’ Group meetup at Hilfield Friary, followed at 2pm by a talk exploring what is going on behind the current NHS crisis. Charles Miller, who is a Governor of Poole Hospital, will be exploring the creeping privatisation of our NHS and how this has come about behind our backs despite popular support for a state-owned health system. The presentation will include a video by Professor Allyson Pollock of the BMA talking about the way the NHS is being privatised, and will be followed by a discussion on what we can do about it before it’s too late ….
This is a free entry meetup, but a donation of £5-£10 would be much appreciated to cover costs for this lovely venue, and refreshments. Hot drinks will be provided, but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, and suitable footwear if you’d like to walk round the beautiful Friary grounds.
