The RSPB Discovery Centre at Radipole Lake in Weymouth has re-opened inside at the start of November, after a Summer of operating from outside. It is now open inside, from 10 am – 4 pm Fridays and Saturdays. There is inside and outside seating, hot and cold drinks and ice cream available for purchase with a range of seasonal activities for families, including duck food.
Visitors can come inside for a chat with an RSPB member of staff, learn a bit about the reserve and view recent sightings, enjoy refreshments while taking in the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake and (subject to seasonal changes) browse from a selection of RSPB shop products.
The rest of the week, the Discovery Centre is being used as a space for school visits and other events and activities. For more information about school visits, interested persons can email weymouth.reserves@rspb.org.uk
