Please join us for our second ‘Sustainability Fair’ on Sunday 18th August in Angus Wood, a delightful woodland setting in the heart of Blandford, not far from Blandford Fire Station. This time our theme for talks and films will be the loss of biodiversity and how we can help to ‘Save Our Species’ from suffering and extinction. All proceeds will go to support the charities Sustainable Dorset/Dorset Agenda 21 and Blandford Environmental Trust.
Come and enjoy a wonderful variety of tasty plant-based savories, snacks, cakes & drinks whilst enjoying live music from ‘DirtStew’ or listening to interesting talks and films on how we can all help reduce biodiversity loss and create a healthier future for our planet and all creatures living on it. There will be lots of food and drink stalls and information stands to browse as you wander through the lovely venue in a wooded community park.
There will be fun for all the family with creative activities for children, whilst for adults there will be informative talks or films throughout the day. The talks and films start at 11am and finish at 5.30pm with a musical interlude at lunchtime, as in programme below:

REDUCING OUR WASTE: Please remember to bring along your own re-usable cups, glasses, drinking bottles etc to minimise waste – there will be refills of SPECIAL FILTERED WATER available from Gabriela Lerner’s stand, and all stallholders have been requested to minimise plastic and waste.
RECYCLING COLLECTION POINT: On the Sustainable Dorset stand we will also have a big sack to collect in a variety of recyclable waste items for charity via Ideas2Action.com and the ‘RecyclingForGoodCauses’ scheme, such as unwanted watches, jewellery, stamps, foreign coins & notes, mobile phones, cameras, satnavs, inkjet printer cartridges etc – there are lists on their websites at: http://www.ideas2action.org.uk and
