We are delighted to host a talk by Lesley Docksey on the current widespread slaughter of our ‘protected’ badgers, and about illegal hunting in Dorset.
Lesley has watched wildlife since she was a child, not to become ‘an expert’ on it, but just to observe and be part of nature. She has been actively involved in protecting badgers, has helped with monitoring illegal foxhunting, and now lives in the middle of a pheasant shoot and mourns the loss of our wildlife.
Lesley Docksey is a freelance writer and has also written on politics, war and peace, and environmental issues in addition to her great love, British wildlife. Her work is published by various national and global outlets.
As usual this will be a free entry talk, but donations would be most welcome to cover our costs. There will be plenty of free parking right next to the museum in Beres Yard, and refreshments will be available.
