What do you do with a broken toaster? Or with a bike when the wheels come off? Or with a jumper full of moth holes? Toss it? No way! You can repair it at Repair Café.

Bournemouth Repair Cafe can help save you money and keep stuff out of landfill!

By promoting repair, Transition Bournemouth & Bournemouth Council want to help reduce mountains of waste.

You can bring along your broken items from home and various ‘fixers’ will be available to help make all possible repairs free of charge. Tools and materials will also be on hand. Toasters, clothes, bikes, toys, crockery… anything that is broken is welcome.

Repair Café is also meant to put people in touch with each other and helps you to discover your neighbours with know-how and practical skills.

Check out the events calendar for details of forthcoming events in Bournemouth.  (Weymouth and Dorchester also have repair cafes regularly too.)
