The Bridport Area Development Trust is interested in the protection and retention of Community Assets, usually in the form of land and buildings. The Trust is anxious to play its part in ensuring that important public assets such as the Literary and Scientific Institute and the old Methodist Church are not lost to the community.
The Development Trust is currently restoring two of Bridport’s old buildings – the Literary and Scientific Institute in East Street and the old Methodist Church in West Bay so that they can be used again to benefit the local community.
