BESL was set up up about four years ago initially to take a lease on woodland and to manage it sustainably. For a number of reasons this did not happen, and since then the company has been maintained as an asset available for use within the community. The board are currently exploring options and would be delighted to hear from anyone who believes that this type of legal structure would be appropriate for what they have in mind.
Sustainable Dorset is delighted to have been chosen by leading Dorset law firm Blanchards Bailey LLP as their charity of the year 2018. Blanchards Bailey, has four offices across Dorset in Blandford, Weymouth, Dorchester, and Shaftesbury. Its 70-strong colleagues will be fund-raising for our charity throughout the year and raising awareness of sustainability through its many staff, associates and clients.
