We are the leading provider of global education services across the county of Dorset. We deliver global citizenship education to schools, early years settings, education establishments, local businesses and community organisations across the whole of Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. We have over 30 years experience working with teachers, Early Years practitioners, other educators and young people to raise awareness of global interdependence and to help create a more just and sustainable world. We offer four main areas of work: Training for teachers; Workshops for pupils; Resources to borrow and buy; and Exhibitions to display. All our services are designed to support and enhance all aspects of education from a global perspective in order to encourage children of all ages to develop self confidence, increased awareness and a positive attitude to taking responsible action. We do it because we know that global education is good education and it provides educators with an understanding of, and respect for cultural diversity; an awareness of the challenges of creating a sustainable future; the ability to understand and feel confident of their place within this interconnected world and of how their everyday actions affect the lives of others.
Sustainable Dorset is delighted to have been chosen by leading Dorset law firm Blanchards Bailey LLP as their charity of the year 2018. Blanchards Bailey, has four offices across Dorset in Blandford, Weymouth, Dorchester, and Shaftesbury. Its 70-strong colleagues will be fund-raising for our charity throughout the year and raising awareness of sustainability through its many staff, associates and clients.
