Dorset Scrapstore is a non-for-profit charity which relies on donations, grant funding and the efforts of a team of dedicated volunteers in order to exist. Money from the sale of materials is ploughed back into our operating costs, such as shop rent, salaries of our part-time employees, and the cost of running our van. We are governed by a Board of Trustees drawn from industry, education and the voluntary sector. We provide our local community with access to an ever-changing supply of clean, safe and often random making materials that are kindly donated by local businesses and individuals. If the Scrapstore didn’t exist and salvage these materials, they would be destined for landfill. When you see our array of amazing materials, you will agree with us that one man’s waste is another’s treasure.
To access materials at Dorset Scrapstore you will need to become a member, which is split into three categories – individuals, groups and schools/college/university departments.
