We provide a monthly rental scheme for local people. To make it accessible to everyone, we arrange for local businesses and organisations to sponsor the bikes. Once a critical mass of new cyclists are on the roads, higher priority by local authorities will be placed on improving active transport (walking and cycling) infrastructure. This will lead to an improvement in health for the local population too.
Sustainable Dorset is delighted to have been chosen by leading Dorset law firm Blanchards Bailey LLP as their charity of the year 2018. Blanchards Bailey, has four offices across Dorset in Blandford, Weymouth, Dorchester, and Shaftesbury. Its 70-strong colleagues will be fund-raising for our charity throughout the year and raising awareness of sustainability through its many staff, associates and clients.
