Positive Money is a movement for a money and banking system that works for society and not against it, campaigning for the power to create money to be used in the public interest, in a democratic, transparent and accountable way, rather than by the same banks that caused the financial crisis.
Positive Money has sister organisations in 17 countries. In the UK Positive Money has a network of volunteer supporter groups of which Positive Money Bournemouth is one. We have regular meetings to discuss economic issues and broaden our economic knowledge.
Campaign wise we run stalls at various events and will give presentations wherever we are invited. Our primary aim is to inform people how our current monetary system works. We believe our monetary system is inimical to an economy that serves society and environmental sustainability.
